I moved to Southern Illinois in June 1997, and began my Graduate studies in the Administration of Justice in August 1997 at SIUC. While a graduate student, I was a Graduate Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant. After receiving my Master’s degree in December 2000, I held numerous positions in southern Illinois. I was with SIU Family Medicine Residency Program from 2013-June 2019. I was the ATSU/KCOM Medical Student Coordinator from March 2015 - June 2019. My current position is Admissions and Records Officer. I have also just started a new adventure, pursuing my PhD in Workforce Education and Development.
When not at work here in Carbondale, or studying, I work at home on my farm with my husband of 21 years, along with our children, and work on my music ministry. I love all sports, fishing, and spending time at the beach when possible. This is my first term on the Council, and I am looking forward to serving my fellow co-workers in this capacity.
