SECTOR: PROVOST & VICE CHANCELLOR OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
I began my career at SIU in 1986 as a student worker in the office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I was hired in the Provost Office as a full-time civil service staff member. I went on to complete my master’s degree while working my way up to an Administrative Assistant position. In July of 2004, I became the Business Manager at the Dean’s Office in the College of Mass Communication and Media Arts. I enjoy working with such talented faculty, staff and students.
I am a Southern Illinois native and have a wonderful husband, five children and two grandchildren. My daughter is currently a student here at SIU and my twin boys are not far behind. My husband and I stay pretty busy with all the activities that our kids are involved in.
As a new member of the Council, I look forward to representing my constituents in a positive and meaningful way.
